Whats Your Makeup Routine?

This morning I was having a great conversation about makeup. I never really talk makeup with coworkers. Not the sort of thing we talk about. That’s what happens with most of your friends are jewelers! Anyway I was telling my coworker about my makeup routine which takes about 5-10 minutes.

Here goes - I slather on a Laura Mercier moisturizing tint

Literally I put it on with my hands like a lotion. No fancy sponge or anything

Then I apply Nars shimmer orgasm blush

Next is Smashbox shimmer eyeshadow

A bit of eyeliner and Sephora mascara

Lipstick is usually whatever I have in my purse.

Currently its Kat Von D Lolita

That’s it. This takes me about 10 minutes and I usually do it in the car while driving (I know dangerous!! I don’t recommend). I’ve been doing my makeup on a moving vehicles for about 20 years either on the NYC subway or in a car. Side note, for my wedding I did my makeup in the car of course.

My coworker was horrified I think at my application of moisturizer. She proceeded to recommend a few sponges to blend. She recommended primer and setting spray to make sure my makeup stays fresh all day. Sephora here I come!!

Side note - of course for me no look is complete without the right accessories: hoops
